TCeurope Colloquium 2012

Friday 20th April 2012, Aveiro, Portugal

Technical Communication Readership

Call for papers

The aim of this event is to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art of a topic as broad and challenging as Readership in Technical Communication and to explore the different and emerging multimedia means used in the technical communication field, exchange information regarding technical communication and its applications, evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the several production formats, the uses and needs as well as the requirements coming from the e-society.
Who writes for whom, how and under which standards are questions that need to be addressed when it comes to ensuring quality, efficiency and user-friendly communication. Other topics become, however, increasingly hot in a steadily growing e-society, namely the use of images and multimedia means, the multiplicity of file formats as end products and the repercussions of this new era in the documentation field.
This event provides a unique forum for researchers, industry and professionals from across a wide spectrum of areas to discuss problems and opportunities regarding technical communication usability and the importance of focusing on the audience when producing technical documents.
All presentations are to be held in TCeurope's working language, English.
